Barclay Hotel Atlanta Downtown

Very close to the rapid transit line to the airport and easy walking distance to the conference center, and some of the major tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly. Warm breakfast was very good (for this category of hotel). My room was clean and very spacious, plenty of pillows, and all amenities you could wish for.

We loved everything about this place. The lobby was clean and secure with delightful staffing. When we arrived (early) our room wasn't ready, so they secured our luggage in a locked room so we could explore Atlanta. They have a parking garage just across the street that costs less than most of the other locations around the city. We had a top floor room with a balcony that overlooked the Olympic Park. It was perfect.

My Review for Barclay Hotel Atlanta Downtown (Stay: Aug 17–20, 2025) I stayed at Barclay Hotel Atlanta Downtown during my visit to Atlanta for an international academic conference, and I was very pleased with my experience. Excellent Service – The front desk staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. They patiently explained everything in detail and were always willing to answer any questions. The breakfast staff and housekeeping team also worked very hard, always greeting guests warmly, which made the atmosphere feel welcoming and pleasant. Perfect Location – The location is outstanding. The hotel is only a 3–5 minute walk to the subway and just a few minutes away from the conference venue I attended. Many major attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, museums, and libraries are within walking distance. The area is lively with many restaurants, and the subway nearby makes it easy to visit universities and other attractions further away. Comfortable Stay – The room was very clean, with tidy bed linens, a comfortable and adjustable air conditioner, and a clean bathroom. The elevator worked smoothly, and I always felt comfortable during my stay. Delicious Breakfast & Amenities – Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and very tasty. I also loved the free lemon ice water provided in the lobby—it was refreshing and absolutely wonderful! Historic Charm – Although the building is older, it has a strong sense of history and character, which I personally enjoyed. Safety – While there were some homeless people around the streets, I did not feel unsafe. The area is generally secure, though I would advise avoiding walking alone late at night. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Barclay Hotel Atlanta Downtown. With its excellent location, warm service, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and historic charm, it was a truly enjoyable stay. I sincerely thank the staff for their hard work and hospitality.

Chasta worked the front desk. She was professional, pleasant and very helpful. Will come back again. Thank you, Chasta. Breakfast was great! Not a bag breakfast, but a hot breakfast. Such as: Grits, scrambled eggs, waffles to name a few. Great location! Walking distance to where we had to go.

Nice and best for the money stay near the Olympic park. Wonderful and supportive staff. Good breakfast. Easy check-in and check-out. Nice eateries nearby. Great transportation accessibility.
